General Project Data

Click "Loads | General Project Data" to open this page.  You must have a project open in order to open this page.

Project

Project Title, Designed By, Date:  These inputs are provided to let you document background information about the project.  This information will be printed on the Project report.

Units:  Sets the units for the current project.  If you change this input after some inputs have already been entered, they will be converted to the new units setting.

Comment:  Allows you to enter any additional information about the project, which can optionally be printed on the Project report.

Include this comment on reports:  Determines whether or not the comment will be printed on the Project report.

Orientation Comment (Parts 1 and 2):  Use these two inputs to create your building orientation comment to indicate the original orientation of the house as entered.  In the first input enter "House," "Front door," or other text, then select the direction in the second, "Orientation Faces" input to complete the comment.

Permit Number(s):  Specifies any permit numbers you want to enter for the current project.  If you have multiple permit numbers you may want to put each one on a separate line, as shown in the above picture.  To create a new line, type Ctrl+Enter (hold down the Ctrl key and press Enter).

Client

Client Name, etc.:  These inputs are provided to let you document background information about the project.  This information will be printed on the Project report.

Include this comment on reports:  Determines whether or not the comment will be printed on the Project report.

Company

Company, etc.:  These inputs are provided to let you document background information about the project.  This information will be printed on the General Project Data Input report.

Include this comment on reports:  Determines whether or not the comment will be printed on the Project report.

Other

Building Volume Option:  The building volume is used in the infiltration calculations.  Select how you would like the building volume to be determined.

 

Option

Description

 

Abv.Grade

(Default) Use Manual J recommended above grade volume.

 

Total

Use total (above and below grade) volume.

 

Custom

Let me enter my own building volume.

Building Volume Value:  If you selected Custom for the building volume option enter your custom value for volume here.  The value you enter will be used in certain calculations regarding infiltration.

Allow Import from Other User:  When checked, another user of Rhvac Online may import the current project into his account if you have also given him your Project Access Code, as entered on the My Account Settings page.  See the Importing Another User's Project topic for a full explanation.

Imported Rhvac Project Filename:  If you created the current project by uploading an Rhvac project this box shows the name of the uploaded RH9 project file.

Drawing Board Mode:  Specifies whether the project is in Drawing Board mode or not.  Drawing Board is only a feature of Rhvac desktop, and this box is only useful for a project that was created by uploading an Rhvac 9 project.
