Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Qsr = (Qss + Qsdu + Qsi + Qsp + Qse + QsL) x TSM

Where:

 Qsr                = Total sensible heat gain on room, Btuh
 Qss                = Sensible heat gain due to structural components of room, Btuh
 Qsdu                = Sensible heat gain due to ductwork, Btuh
 Qsi                = Sensible heat gain due to infiltration, Btuh
 Qsp                = Sensible heat gain due to people, Btuh
 Qse                = Sensible heat gain due to equipment and appliances, Btuh
 QsL                = Heat gain due to lights, Btuh
 TSM                = Rating and temperature swing multiplier, dimensionless
